Today I bought my first truck

    Well I am ready to own the truck. I bought a 2007 9400I eagle edition with the cummings ISX. I have been a company driver with Roehl for 2 years and looked at thier lease deal and decided it would only work if I brought my own truck to the company. I will savemover $700 a month just on the truck payment and have no ballon at the end. Most O/O's I talk to with Roehl are happy. I feel that I have spent 2 years doing this and I really enjoy driving so this was the next step in my career. I know many companies probably pay better than Roehl but I have done the math and can still net quite abit more than I did as a company driver. Roehl's O/O division has been very supportive as has my current DSR. I will run under thier authority which saves me nearly $2000 at the start.

    But it still is not a CAT! but I'm pretty sure he'll get better fuel mileage then me...

    Congrats Etch. No better feeling in trucking is there?? Would be nice to know if Roehl's lease is a good one. They seem to check out pretty well as a company job, and that's a good start.

    Hopefully they have the freight to keep you busy. Do bring us back some numbers in a month or so when you get the chance.
