In live in Texas and I don't carry on the road as I never know when I'm going to get a Canada run so I haven't looked into it either. Also, I believe in some states all gun owners have to be registered or in some licensed. I don't know how that would effect the situation. I am a member of the N.R.A and I get a magazine from them and they have these horror stories in them about people being charged with felonies for simply having a gun in the trunk and things like that.

That's my issue too, I don't really care about policy I care because once I'm on the road I have no idea where I'll end up. If I was dedicated I probably would carry. But sometimes when I cross the border they x-ray my truck, now I have no idea if they can see a gun but that's the point isn't it? I don't know.

I know my home state of IL requires a permit for IL residents to own or buy a gun. But IL law states that anyone who can legally purchase a gun in their home state can legally transport it in IL. I don't know about all of the state's though.

In joined the Corps in 02, didn't have Internet back then so research was hard. My wife came with me and we lived off base. My father had given me an old Browning Hi-Power with a couple 13 rounders. Had that thing in my apartment for a year and never even knew I was breaking the law, lol. I was based in California.

In Switzerland, you can have any type of weapons in your house: machine guns, snipers, rocket propelled grenadines - but only in your house. My home - is my castle! If you need servise for this guns or you going to the shooting range, you have to get permit to move them out of the house.

They can absolutely see a gun with the x-ray, it's mandatory 3 years in prison if caught.
Trust me.. You don't even want to end up on their gun owner watch list.

I didn't have one at the time, but had NRA member sticker on the truck.
Next thing I know ... How many guns do you own? How many are handguns? Do you ever carry on the road?do you have any hidden compartments on the truck? Do you own the truck ? Go to the x-ray truck.
