I am 2 weeks off orientation and have never been through NJ or NY. This week I am going to both places. Can any of you give me a heads up on toll fees going from US Foods in Perth Amboy, NJ to Tyson Facility Wainford Hwy in Temperanceville, VA and then onto Wegman Facility on Wegman Street in Rochester, NY. Thank you to anyone who might be able to help me. I have searched for the info and tried to go to the states toll fee sites but, without knowing the area I am spending a lot of time trying unsuccessfully to figure this out.Any other pointers for this area you may have for me would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have an EZ-Pass? The tolls can get pretty steep up there in Jersey and NY.

If you went through "orientation" this typically means larger carrier and this typically means EZPass. You don't have a blue EZPass box somewhere in the truck? Otherwise, you need to figure out how to utilize the various web sites because it's as hard for this of us who pay cash to know you're route as it is for you to look it up. If you don;t have EZPass and run the NE and Across to IL/WI a lot. You need to always carry at least $200 with you and keep it replenished regularly JUST to cover tolls. Meals and recreation is in addition to the $200.
Call your dispatcher and ask if you're supposed to have an EZpass box. If so, look around in your truck for it. Look in the glove box and wherever else somebody may have put it when they cleaned out the truck before you.bighossdaddy Thanks this. -
del mem bridge - 25.00
PaTPKE NE ext - 70.00
total tolls = $119.00
all figures approx. Does your company not have EZPASS?bighossdaddy Thanks this. -
I have an EZPass, but, my trainer said to carry cash because it will not work every where. I am carrying $100 in cash, just starting out. Maybe I will have to figure out a way to get more cash before getting on these tollways. Thank you for your help.

Your EZ-Pass will work in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, PA, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. It will not work in any other states. You'll be fine running the Northeast.

The only tolls EZ Pass won't cover are in OK and KS and maybe a few bridges in CA. Any roads in the midwest and northeast are covered by EZPass which will far and a way make up the bulk of your toll road travels

Won't cover Florida, CA, WA, OK, KS, TX or CO toll roads. They want cash, lol, or their own version of EZ Pass

Thank you all for your quick response. I was hoping the EZPASS would cover it, but I would hate to be sitting at a toll booth with not enough money. This kind of stuff didn't really get covered in my "orientation". So, it is really helpful coming here and finding so much information to help me through learning as I go. Thank you for sharing your hard earned knowledge.

When you get to the toll booth, hold up your gallon mayonnaise jar full of pennies. They will wave you on through.
