To be fair until the past couple weeks the newest trucks my company owned were 2010s. We had a total of 15-20 08 or newer the rest were pre dpf and I love it here.

It's got a 9/16 wrench for the slack adjusting nut, hammer end for freeing up the locking collar and/or tapping on the drum so you can hear the shoes aren't touching and the hook end fits nicely on the end of the slack adjuster to check for free play.

Who are you rolling with? I would love to roll without having the hassle of DPF and DEF.

.....and the first time there's an accident, some insurance snoop is going to ask about the brakes. You gonna say "yeah I adjust 'em all the time!"
I know how to adjust them, but I let Old Dominion do it. Means less liability on me.

No you keep your mouth shut any time some snoop asks questions. But... Let's see. If you have an accident and they do an investigation are you better off with loose brakes or properly adjusted brakes. Hmmmmm. Wait a minute maybe you wouldn't have had an accident if your brakes were properly adjusted.

I was thinking it was 7/16" but it has been so long since I had to adjust brakes I didn't want to say anything. If you have self adjusting brakes and your brakes are out of adjustment, then it is time for a visit to the shop. In the meantime you are less apt to have an accident with properly adjusted brakes than playing dumb. I was at an Illinois scale finishing up my level 2 inspection when another truck driver went from a level 2 to a level 1 because he couldn't learn how to adjust brakes.

should emphasize that manual adjustment of automatic slack
adjusters is dangerous and should not be done, except during
installation, or in an emergency situation when it is absolutely
necessary to move the vehicle to a repair facility.

    When an ASA is
found to be out of adjustment
    ,
it signifies the existence of a
larger braking system problem that needs correction. Manual
adjustment of ASAs should only be done by qualified
technicians during installation or when absolutely necessary to
    move the apparatus to a repair facility (NTSB 2006, 2007;

Yep and the NTSB's track record is so stellar.

I'm sure they have a pamphlet for just about anything that could injure or kill poor unsuspecting motorists. Please post the one they have on how you should immediately stop your vehicle and get it towed if you have a marker light out.
