Werner can promise to pay you 67 cents per mile CPM, but they aren't guaranteeing you make $81k. Usually they look at their driver getting the most miles then multiply those miles by the CPM, and often "forget" to figure any time off in their claims about yearly income .Over half of the Werner fleet is filled with drivers with less than 90 days behind the wheel. It's likely almost none of their trainers have even 1 year of experience driving or training. Dollar type store accounts for every trucking company with them are always desperate for more drivers since they are ALMOST guaranteed to be the reason you get fired as a new driver. The parking lots are very small. Cars are parked in your way, you haven't learned how to back the truck yet, and you will hit things while backing. About the 3rd time you back into something you will be terminated and looking for another job.

Wowww! Woulda never thought you'd know about a small company like this! Wouldn't recommend though backbreaking work. I tried them out for a week and bounced and they never paid me!

 

We had to renew our hazmat with 6 weeks out. But, they didn't have appointments for two months. After waiting on hold for an hour, I was informed that I could sign up as if I am taking a cdl written test and pick 'any school' then when I arrived, I took my hazmat test. My fingerprints where already done at a separate place.

Second option drive to a different town that can handle a CDL and take your test there.
