    You may be laughing, but he's right, to a degree. At least a few weeks with a good trainer, so that you can be watched, and get some experience under that watchful eye.

    Check out the thread in this section: Help a wannabe driver out by OpenRoadGuy. He's younger and at the start was very defient on I don't want this and I want this but he has posted from start to finish and currently is in school getting his CDL A. He has very detailed information about what to do and expect.

    And as everyone else said you are never too old to try anything new!

    So you think that everyone should go it alone from the get go, instead of being out with a GOOD trainer? Or is it that you feel there is no such thing AS a good trainer?

    It's up to the individual in my opinion as to what's best for him/her. Trainers in my opinion are hit or miss. For me, going with a trainer was not something I wanted.
