Think of yourself as being Rocky Balboa. You can either

    Or

    Your choice.

Look through that laundry list of errors and look for common themes. My guess would be
    • Not looking/thinking ahead
    • Late/panicky decision making
    • Low situational awarness
    • Lack of attention to detail
Think before you do. Anticipate what is GOING to happen instead of responding to what IS happening. Give yourself TIME to make good decisions. For example on turns - be in the gear you want to turn in 100 feet before the turn. This will give you time to see how the turn needs to be done - curb/lane markings, space, traffic, control devices, etc. If you are entering the intersection and you haven't already decided where and when to initate the turn, you've set yourself up yo fail.

Focus on the details - use the cheat sheats. There is no reason to miss steps on the coupling and uncouple. Same thing for pre and post trips - focus on the details and the big picture will handle itself.

I’m guessing the mistakes I made and I’m sure my grandpa passing away about a month ago factored into it; they said I could come back after I drive for another company after a while haha as if; they’ve treated me pretty fairly, but I don’t really like their style of training, should’ve been longer, more thorough and actually give new drivers a chance; hell, my road instructor who was supposed to be teaching me would be fired as soon as he opens the truck door if he were held by these standards.

He also totally fudged me on my logging, had to make several corrections; not once did he remind us to go on duty for our pre trip (I should’ve known better though), didn’t even enter the trailer number for one load, etc.

You're just starting out. At least it's just a page and s half of notes. The trainer could have just flunked you. You ain't gonna know everything off the bat

I’m sure those notes played a big part of the firing.
