I have the Cobra 7700 pro and to upgrade to the 7750 Cobra wants a $170.00 which includes shipping. I have to send my 7700 and wait for 10 days (so that's 6 or 7 days there and 10 days back.)
The question I'm trying to ask is. Is the 7750 worth the extra money and waiting almost two weeks for or should I just try and sell the lemon 7700 and get the TND 700, which is what I wanted in the first place, but I could not find one in Canada when I was looking.
Thanks in advance.
Too upgrade to the 7750 or not?

I cannot speak to the routing at this time, because I don't have enough data on that aspect to be fair to Cobra.
However, I don't think that they'll be upset with the answer that I CAN give in relation to your question.
It is my opinion (of the differences between the two) that the 7750 is a significant improvement on the 7700 in terms of just about every aspect of its interface.
The hardware itself seems to be exactly the same.
However, the software menus, maps, and truck-specific functionality:
1. "Look" better and clearer
2. Contain many more driver "tools"
3. Have an easier and more logical layout
4. Have bigger and clearer text fonts where I felt were needed in a couple spots on the 7700.
5. Still the reigning champ for volume (both units are VERY loud, which is a complaint about every GPS by the drivers in many cases.)
SO...
If I was a current owner of a 7700 and I was generally happy with it to date, it is my opinion (at least after 2 weeks so far with the 7750) that the upgrade fee is worth it. I have no idea what the upgrade process entails from a technical standpoint over at Cobra (whether anything is changed in the hardware "guts" of the unit.) It does seem that a somewhat steep price for what basically equates to a software upgrade in the eyes of the end user. If they hadn't done such an impressive job with it, I would never make that statement.
Hope that helps bring some peace of mind to the decision at least. It would cost you signicantly more to buy a TND700 than $170. I am a big fan of the TND, don't get me wrong, but again - IF YOU ARE currently reasonably satisfied with your 7700 then you will like it MUCH more when it becomes a 7750.
