The most important tool you can have is a functional brain. Think.

I started moving across the country in an 86 harvester with a gooseneck and 20k of machinery on it in 2016, with pennies to my name at times. Had every tool in the book and used them all. Im a company driver now, still hauling 100lbs of tools and still using them all. What i dont do is sit on the roadside with my thumb in my ###.

I constantly manage to cobble and limp it back to base. Last fall i made a drop on time with a grenaded clutch damper. That was the only failure where i couldnt do anything. Low hole starts on I-40 were exciting.

The dispatcher should not have run off so fast and wait a #### minute to answer my questions at 5 minutes to quitting time on a friday. You think he had a American Pie waiting on him or something.

Then I get yelled at for making decisions impacting the ability of company to make money on guesswork, inadequate facts and other information that are not really for drivers.

You cannot win. SO I yell right back on monday afternoon. A suit lumbered out and told me I am not permitted to think on anything related to the loads in the future.

I quit. I am a Professional Driver not a mindless robot.

    The problem?

Reciever was closed sundays. So was to sit from Saturday to Monday morning. Everyone and their mommies knew that particular reciever was closed on sudndays. And the company has delivered there before. However its not information imparted to me until I find out the hardway and 120 miles bounce back off route to a truckstop.

What part of closed on sunday do you fail to understand Mr Suit?

uh... You do realize we don't talk like that in this building.

No ####. Need to clear some air up so that from now on this particular load delivers on saturday or monday morning. Whats matta with this 65 year old company? All that stress over a well known closed customer.

    Its not for me.

I have not reviewed my toolbox in my truck for a long time, but I can share the new thing I recently bought on my truck - this is a stapler and nail puller, I chose https://nailershub.com/nailers/ here. I believe that these are very necessary tools especially on the road when repairing an awning.
