    Learned this the hard way before getting into trucking. Took a $20K/yr cut to drive a truck, but I've never been so happy to go to work.

    I made 94k last year. My job sucks a lot because of the traffic here. Glad I’m moving out of state next week. Screw California. Money isn’t everything but you’ve gotta make as much as you can when your responsible for the family.

    I live in San Jose,ca Lived here most my life! I think most the people here want to get out! It's just not worth living here anymore! More than an hour to go 20 miles to work is stupid!

    i'm not yet convinced; What about benefits? What about the fact that you're killing yourself? An LTL driver, whether road or city works MUCH less strenuous than food/beverage.

    Food and/or beverage IS the most labor intensive job, period.

    Try doing shingles. I'm doing food service now and it's a call walk compared to when I did shingles.
