Well before dinner tonight everything was working right. Returned and when the QC cycled itself back on, the touch screen was locked up. Anyone else ever have this problem, and if so, how did you fix or am I looking at a visit to a terminal and getting it replaced. I am hoping that during the night it will reboot itself and fix its own problem. Even the arrow will not move. When it is in the compact mode, the small arrow in the lower left corner goes dark, and when opened it lites back up.

I remember that the old QC's could be unplugged and powered down and reset. Not sure about the new ones.

Thanks for the assistance in advance. Sure would hate to have to call someone in PHX right now. If I can not fix, or if it does not fix itself tonight, then will just be calling in MT and LDD macros. Then let them decide what to do.

The one in this truck has done things like that to me, dos screen, windows mode, etc. When it does the sleep cycle it has always gone back to normal afterwards.

    Prairie Boy Thanks this.

Thanks, it locked up when it came out of sleep cycle. I have been hoping that it would go into a sleep mode again with showing that screen that it i rebooting itself. so far, no go.

Yup it locked up on me coming out of sleep as I recall as well. The next sleep cycle should fix it. How long has it been? I think it cycles every couple hours? Never actually watched the time.

    It's a mini computer...
Cntrl+Alt+Delete on the physical keyboard reboots it.
Edit: then a small box comes up, hit enter and it's asking if you want to reboot/shutdown, hit enter again
Takes awhile to reboot. (3-4 min?)
First time I did it thought it wasn't gonna come back on lol.

My navigation screen locks up when I click the zoom in/out buttons too quickly
Seems I reboot once a week as the power down mode is set for 60 min.

Did that just now. Lets see how long to re-boot. It brought up a virtual keypad on the screen. It then went back to its home screen, and nothing. Let it go into sleep and hope that in the morning, all is working.

Navigation screen also locks up now and then, especially when pushing safety view and nav view too quickly. Like you are trying to tell it to do something to fast.

AZS, I think that mine usually goes into sleep mode in about 30-45 mins. Have had the truck running to get some air condition in it. Now lets just wait and see.

YeeHaw. It worked. Took a little doing, like hitting the Enter on the keyboard since the screen was not work, but now all is fine

Thanks again for the assist. Will have to remember this the next time that it locks up

An alternate method is to unplug the CPU control box. There are two secured plugs on the box. Unscrew the smaller one and leave it off for five minutes. Plug it back in, tighten up the screws and the system will totally reboot and come back up. Takes about ten minutes total....

    It should be 60 min.
Check the last tab (parameters?) on the performance screen.
It shows setting for time to power-down.

    AZS Thanks this.
