    Hello,
I've been driving B box truck for almost three years. I got my A license a few months ago and I really want to drive for SOS or Upstaging. However, I don't think they hire new drivers and I don't believe they run box trucks but that's something I need to look into. Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone has any information on other companies that hire new drivers and are out as long as these entertainment trucking companies. I really want to be out 8-10 months as I am single with no kids, 35 years old and looking to not have to pay rent/utilities etc. I spent 18 months in central america running tours and living out of a backpack with zero home time so its not a big deal to me, in fact its something I'm looking to do again. Any tips on companies or any experience with entertainment companies to share would be appreciate.
    Thanks

Almost any otr company will let you stay out as long as you want. If you don't want a personal residence its pretty simple in this industry.

I would have to assume getting in with those companies would be only slightly less difficult as getting picked to drive a NASCAR hauler.

Thanks for your reply. Can you give me an example of how this would work? I've only ever seen ads for jobs boasting "good home time". Home every evening or every weekend or something similar. I also read complains about drop time or down time or what have you. I understand there are HOS rules so off time is inevitable. So drivers are paying for hotel rooms? Sorry but I am really new to this and trying to understand. Thanks.
