Hi, I am getting into the industry, away from my corporate job. I leveraged the house and bought a 80's GMC 7000 with a half MW generator in the back and a carrier? axle. I also bought another half MW generator mounted on a tri-axle trailer. I am not sure of the displacement of the detroit diesel motor in the truck, but it is a fuelsipper V8. GVW is 35,000 and the truck weighs in at 24K with empty generator fuel tanks. The genset I want to tow is about 12,000. What do ya'll think? I would like to parallel these gensets together to have a 1MW rig I can drive to events/emergencies/etc.
I will have plenty more questions as I go through the CDL process, I will start reading some threads now and grab a cup of joe! Thanks all.. Dave
