I was speaking to a guy at a shop with the same sensor problem as myself. and he was telling me his insurance company covered 2 tows a year. anybody else have something similar. because mine will tow the truck in the event of an accident but that's about it.

Yes - Northland and Great West both have Towing for breakdown on there policies. One of them calls it the Choice Plan and the other calls it the Deluxe plan ( can't remember which is which. Great West charged an additional $144 however it also covered several other things as well. Northland charged $262 for there plan that was very similar. It also included $1000 coverage for theft of drivers property and travel expenses and a few other things as well.

Yeah towing is an add on to the policy and more $$$.

I have towing ins via my truck policy with OOIDA and I've used a few times. Glad I have it because it's very nominal cost

Well yeah, duh! My policy is just your reg normal truck ins policy. Plain vanilla. So I decide to add a towing rider.
nothing complicated about that. My choice nobody else's. If you don't think its necessary then don't buy it.
