Toys R Us Out of Biz, any JB Hunt drivers effected?

doesn't affect me at all. all my kids are grown, and the grand kids get money.

this is what's going to continue to happen to box stores, the web has so many more shopping places, many free from taxes and even shipping charges.

but tell you what too....i'll bet many MORE will become truckers now too.....!!!!!!!

as unemployment will send them to trucking schools....

 

oh, when i come here, i check "new posts", so i really don't know what board each posting is about.

 

Either that or shoot apps over to the nearest Jimmie John's, or whatever new restaurant or up and coming shop is opening up in the hood. Yes, many of all ages work there and other Big Boxes slated for toppling. But as for the teens-to-20-somethings in high school or college, they'll strike out for another service job before hitting the UI pipeline.
As for the drivers on a dedicated account with these guys, I could imagine a reassignment within JB with all the other accounts they have.
I know when I was briefly with Navajo, they had Toys R Us as well.

 

I saw a toys r us trailer going down the road last week. The thing looked ancient. I can’t say i’m surprised, the way things are with online shopping now. They won’t be the last to go.

This is a company that’s REALLY going out of buisness

 

No great loss. I have young kids and that place was always was overpriced compared to anyone else much less online shopping. Besides how big box stores do we need anyways?
