Apparently, I am one of those guys, we haul 50-60% TQL stuff on a regular basis, haven't had a problem yet, it's all about who you deal with in that company, find a good one in your lane, and keep him, weed the others out....
It's amazing how many people on here are willing to brush a single company with who knows how many employees with a single brush, yet get their backs up and when the same is done to them when people reference truckers in a bad light etc...

Best advice for dealing with TQL: If it isn't spelled out on the rate con it doesn't exist. Get the dispatch before you move. Document everything yourself, each line item should correspond to a check call so they have it too. Expect nothing good, then anything positive is an upside.windsmith Thanks this. -
Well, the first load with TQL was problem free. However....
I found myself in Chicagoland searching for a load yesterday afternoon, I was holding out for $3+/mile because friday afternoon, Labor Day weekend i figured someone would get desperate, and if not I'd just go home for the weekend. Well...
I booked a load with TQL right at 4pm. Good news is I got $3.11/mile, but it's to Denver so I don't really know if it's gonna turn out so well, we'll see.
But anyways, I got the address on this place and I'm looking and it's down by lower Wacker Drive. So I'm calling trying to get directions, no way I'm following a GPS down in that area. No answer on the customer phone number they provided, finally got a hold of someone with whatever company the load was through and he's telling me "back behind the airport by FedEx". Not exactly the turn by turn directions I was looking for.
I was in a real pickle, the address they gave was downtown Chicago, but there was definitely a location out by the airport and I was sitting in Gary. I know that area out by the airport pretty well and kind of had an idea where the place was so I took a chance and headed out there. Just by dumb luck I wound up driving right to it. (I was actually looking for a place to turn around when I found it). I've got a feeling the address they gave me was probably just an office or something, man, I would feel sorry for a driver who would have looked that up on his GPS and tried to go there !!
TQL should have had this load listed as Schiller Park NOT Chicago. And any load in the Chicago area they should have turn by turn instructions, not "on the freight side of the airport across the street from FedEx". So that was pretty crappy on their part, but all's well that ends well I suppose.
One thing positive I can say about TQL is I think they are trying to be a 24/7 broker. Since I am 24/7 I do get frustrated with brokers not being available after 4 pm in whatever time zone they're in and the big cluster mess of trying to call between 7 and 10 in the morning.
