Worked for tql. I have to say that they are a shady company. How they receive these accolades for best employer is beyond me and others as well. I have asked others about tql who are employed in cincy for other companies and they always said sorry about your luck. They didn't tell me about their expectations and I was let go six months later.

Over $1000 in detention. Still didn't get a penny, and it has been since July! They offer me these great loads over $4/mile. I ask the broker about the detention pay and all they keep saying is "will email manager" I have emailed him my self and booked a load with him after the detention as well and he will answer all question but ignore my detention pay.
How can I get paid for the detention?!?!?!??? Anyone been here?

You should get them to fax/email you another rate con with the agreed $ amount & number of hours detention on it BEFORE you get to the receiver, or BEFORE you let them unload.

I had a similar situation with another broker who I had to wait around the corner for my wife to get the new rate con emailed with the new amount before I'd pull into the receivers yard. They had another guy call me and ask if I'd unloaded yet. I told him you should know I'm waiting on another street, because it went all the way up to the head office what I was doing. He asked me if I could just go and unload and they'd take care of it in time. I asked him if he wanted me to go to their yard and if they tried to unload I'd have to tell them I have to wait until I got paid first? Do you want me to do that? I didn't think so. I'll just wait here. When my wife gets the email, I'll go unload.
*****Caution: don't do that to a good broker*****

Good job, rollincoal! That's what it takes. Know what you're worth and stick to your guns. If they need it moved bad enough, they'll pay. If not, let it sit there. I do it all the time. Brokers always say, "NOBODY gets those kind of rates!" I tell them, "I do." "If you want it there on time on nice equipment without damage, I'll get it done."

You guys are full of ####, noone is that bad like you on the market you may have loads is true but still we take your load only because is nothing else, perhaps you have special training there to be rude with the drivers, to post a wrong location on every load and trying to lie about the mileage, NO RESPECT FOR YOU AT ALL!

"Take the load because there is nothing else"

That's the wrong thought process ...

They are a horrible, crooked and dishonest company to do business with. Here is my story: Had a driver accept a load on 3/28/16 Load #6761425 from Valdosta Ga to Southaven MS to deliver on 3/29/16. Rate conformation had nothing on it about driver load count. Driver went into count load and they told him he had to wait in the truck. Loaded the truck and the guy sealed the trailer. When the truck arrived in Southaven MS they guard even wrote "Seal Intact" on the bills. The load was short 75 pieces. The driver notified the broker. Then on 9/21/16 TQL claims coordinator sent us an email stating we would have to pay for the shortages. Contacted the Cargo Insurance and they investigated and also stated that they found no fault to carrier since driver was told to wait in the truck, so they refused the claim and said that it had to be shipper or receiver load count error. On 11/23/16 TQL pulled $2,355 from my account for the shortages on the load. That is wrong without even sending us a letter or offering to contact us to let us know. They are a bunch of crooks, and liars. I hope every trucking company reads this and realizes what they are facing when they book a load with TQL. CROOKED, LIARS, that want to force trucking companies out of business to boost their own profit margins. May have these stickers made up and maybe owner ops will put them on their trailer and TQL will get the message that truckers are sick of their B.S.

OK guy, we get the point. This is like the fourth or fifth 4 year old post that you've revived and copied and pasted the same rant into. Sorry you got burned but enough already. Even a newcomer to the industry like me, who knows how to do a little research, knows to steer clear of these yahoos. Eat the loss, learn your lesson and move on...or in the immortal words of Mad Max, "Sit down, shut up and quit ruinin' my life!"

If a guy doesn't read all the post and just reads the things people reply to on his posts then he won't see it. I just don't want anyone to get burned by them from not knowing. Fair enough?
