I used to think my GPS was more accurate than my truck until I did a speed test in Utah. Turns out the Qualcomm's ECM speed display (not the one on the built in GPS screen of the unit, or my stand-alone GPS) is the correct one. I was surprised, because I was convinced the ECM was wrong & was about to take it in for service so I could get my full speed.

Miles aren't hard to come by at JCT... at least for solo drivers. I had a rougher go of it trying to drive team here, and my 2nd seat wound up getting his own truck so we could actually be dispatched like the other drivers, lol. I'm running my butt off, now.

well since YOU ARE derailing--LOL--I doubt anyone could argue the occupants in the Limo--would not have faired better had they been belted in--the better question would probably be--would they actually have been seated and belted?

Depends on the Seating position. Driver's side 3rd row on a standard sprinter probably wasn't survivable in that crash. But 1) Don't know the layout of the "limo bus" and 2) Probably depends somewhat on the quality of the upfit job by the company that modified the sprinter.

Generally a seat belt will keep you from winding up under your vehicle or becoming a projectile. It doesn't guarantee survival or even not being ejected.

I was being sarcastic.......it always chaps me how limos, taxis, school buses etc.....they are somehow safer than your personal vehicle or truck.......funny the politics of that, eh??:biggrin_25510:

On a brighter note for personal liberty.....NH has no mandate for adults to wear seatbelts or m/c helmets.......oh but the kids hafta wear bike helmets!!!
    lol

I would love to that written somewhere. I just read the preliminary NTSB report and it says no such thing. It says he went on duty 11:22 on June 6th 13 hours 32 minutes before the wreck. It says nothing about the day before. More rumors reported as fact.
