Trader Joe's and Aldi's are opening new stores nationwide, while Kroger is closing stores.
    ~
    Aldi's - German owned.
Trader Joe's - also German owned.

    Lol, “Continues US takeover”

Joe’s isn’t even on the same planet as Aldi and Kroger. Six hundred locations and they are in takeover mode..Ahh HAHAHAHA :)

Kroger could close 1,000 stores and still dominate over Joe’s.

I buy some groceries at Smith's here in Las Vegas. Smith's is owned by Kroger.

I honestly have never bought anything from Joe’s, Kroger or Aldi. Then again have yet to ever buy anything from Amazon also. They’d all be bankrupt if they relied on me.

When I lived in the North East it was either Shaws or Stop &Shop. We had a Walmart but it was not a super center..

In Florida we stick to Publix and Walmart..Wife does Sam’s club and I think BJ’s.

My life was turned upside down when Sears closed down..bought just about anything I needed there. Now If Walmart doesn’t have it I buy online.

I know what you mean about Sears. Wife and I were loyal Sears patrons for decades. Craftsman lawn equipment, tools, Kenmore refrigerators, stove, microwave, washer and dryer, wife even had a Kenmore Sewing Machine.
Don’t buy much from Walmart, too much Chinese crap. Never go into the grocery section.

Aldi, kind of sucks. Last time I did shop there they didn't have anything name brand at all, its all off-brand stuff. And you have to bag your own stuff. Granted, you bag your own stuff at Kroger too with the self checkout, if you want to get out of the store in a hurry but they have many brands of food stuff. I have never been to a Trader Joe's, though.

The idea that Kroger and Trader Joe’s have any customers in common is absurd…,one’s a supposed higher end organic yuppie hut
    The others a grocery store
ALDIs with their no frills lower prices however does pull customers from other chains..,But it typically doesn’t have near the selection especially in produce..,So people get some stuff there…but continue to shop the big stores as well
And doubtful Kroger or any of its subsidiaries notice the revenue difference

Trader Joe's is good for people who don't like to cook much. A lot of their stuff is pre-made.
