You owe it to yourself to check prices in Truck Paper and try to sell it yourself in same paper. Might get lucky. Dealers making financing easy usually can get more $$ than private party. Thats more so the case on more expensive Vehicles. Main thing is knowing actual value of your Truck Retail and Trade in price. An auction is another option. I’ve had surprisingly good results from Taylor and Martin Peoria IL auction when I sold a trailer. You will need to set a reserve for $18000 or ? and run the risk of not selling and paying a fee. Don’t know how much. Meanwhile get best price on new(er) Truck first. In order to get real numbers on how much trade -in is worth. Then drop the monkey wrench in that’s holding up the deal by mentioning the Old Truck Don’t show all your cards until right time. Take your time with Salesman You may find someone willing to make a deal work. The more time Salesman has invested the more likely He’ll be to make it happen. Then He’ll hate your guts!! LOL!! Seriously
