Back when logging camps used oxen to drag timber out of the forest, it was an understood fact that an empty drag team would get out of the road for a loaded team. Probably applied to other aspects of transportation in that era as well… Common sense basically. Which the OP unfortunately doesn’t appear to possess :dontknow:

I think you said it best. And you are 100% right on that EVERYTHING has changed with the way things are done, I doubt the actual written in stone laws in the book have.

Same here. It started a few years back with all the people moving here from those foreign countries we call California or new York. I call it the “trailer effect”. You do the actual stop for them and they just follow you thru like your towing them behind you.
Then the best part is if you do it during a turn onto a two lane they will sometimes fly by you to get in front before the turn is even completed. Utter madness

    Siinman and prostartom Thank this.

It was a motorist in a car that couldn't figure something like this, not a truck driver.

So you are confessing that you drive your car and truck to different laws of common sense. Gotcha.

Old_n_gray, Sons Hero and Kyle G. Thank this.

It's supposed to be that way in the oilfield, too. But sandboxes and a certain type of vacuum truck driver seem to think that they have ROW regardless of who is loaded and who is empty. To hell with common sense, I guess.

Flat Earth Trucker and Sons Hero Thank this.

I just checked out the link that xsetra posted in post #4 of this thread. Apparently I was correct that the (ignorant) driver in the car at the stop sign in front of me had the right of way. That lady foolishly thought that I had the right of way.

How do you come to that conclusion from the statement you are responding to?
