I'm been keeping my record clean for the past 5 years , not that there was anything majorly wrong with it in the first place, one speeding ticket 5 years ago and 1 suspension 5 years ago( 3 month for driving without insurance).

any way long story SHORT i got pulled over the other night i apparently i been driving on SUSPENDED registration, which i didn't know. Anyway my question is in PA will my license get suspended? i went to pendot, but the wording is vague. also if my license by some miracle isnt suspended is that gonna be a big problem with major carriers?

i figured i ask, i gotta think some one on here has run into somthing like this before.

before any body asks, i used to run regional then came in to a good job for a while, now I'm a yard jockey for a ltl company, i just want to go back on road

Not sure about PA, but I know Florida will not suspend your license for an expired tag. For all they know, the vehicle is sitting in your garage broken down. I guess they could require you to turn in the tags if thats the case, but I never had a problem.

You get your license suspended by an accumulation of points on your driving history. Expired tags does not = points. However, with the current job crisis, and everyone migrating to trucking, most companies will choose someone with a clean driving history over someone with any kind of ticket at all (considering he/she is otherwise just as qualified).

Merry Christmas, you hard road truckers, if you would, tell me about having a spread axle set up compaired to a sliding tandum in as so far as running the road? I've read about some states having a 13' overhang rule and then The Country Of California having a 41' ax/to/ax regulation. Speak to me please on how it works. Thanks Mike

supdty93: Search for spread axles and you will see where this same question has been asked. But why put it in this thread about a traffic violation? Oh, I see you're new to this forum. Look under the top right where you see your screen name and just below it you will see the word search. click it and you should know how to do the rest!

seal3: I got the same ticket about a year ago. As soon as I got the ticket I went to the DMV and paid the taxes and got the registration renewed then went straight to the court and paid a $28 dollar ticket! No points but this is Missouri and no suspension! But then again this is Missouri! Different states different laws! But most of the time it's just a non moving violation and companies over look those EXCEPT for that suspension you already have. That might be a problem. And the Speeding ticket could bite also depending on what it is. 15+ is a killer! All you can do is check with the company of your dreams and see what happens and quit worrying!

    supdty93 Thanks this.
