This unfortunate trucker fell asleep at the wheel...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=266mQYWcJuE

... as of this writing there is no information regarding how they were able to bring the truck to a safe stop and extricate him from this dangerous situation...

    ;)

It's clearly an "hours of service" violation...

I hope they make sure this guy doesn't get his license for at least 15 years.

And, am I wrong to suggest that his dispatcher is to blame for not getting him enough rest?

For pete's sake, a 5 year old would have better judgement.

It's a shame knowing that a trucker in training will be excluded from getting a job because of one little mistake.

Breaking news: his 4 year old sister dispatched him on the load and she's claiming he had plenty of HOS to make delivery.

On second thought....he's just taking a refresher course for C.R. England. No harm in that

On the bright side, he was never accused of abandoning his truck. The DOT did cite him for not having a proper sleeper berth and no white sheets.

There's a new nickname for C.R. England. (Can't Remember the East). Actually, there are laws against drivers being pressured to run when they are tired, and they cannot drive. A company cannot force or pressure you to run when you are not safe to be driving. That doesn't account for shippers/ receivers telling when you are out of hours, "I don't care you are out of hours. You cannot park here". No one tells you any different until you arrive at that location.Talk about communication.

Who'da thunk a cute little video would release so much trucker emotion...?
