Trailer ABS light

My trailer ABS light tests perfectly on a battery disconnect or when I connect the pigtail. But, when I turn the ignition it won’t cycle. Any answers ...?

Does it come on but not go off or does it just stay off?

If it just stays off you may simply have a broken wire, or could be much worse... Hard to say

I’m California you file CalDot form 44-346 and then in 4 weeks they give you permission to talk to it firmly. I usually just cover it with electrical tape and then cross into Oregon where I shoot it in it’s stupid bulb.
