trailer brakes locking up/ hopping

    Roll backwards slow and apply the trailer brake make the trailer bounce around some i have had the same problem. Good luck

    I have not fixed it. nobody knows how to fix it. I am just trying to brake slowly when trailer is empty.

    It's most likely your trailer relay valve. When they go bad your brakes don't apply gently. They pretty much apply full force once apply brakes. You don't feel it as much while loaded but empty they lock up and the trailer bounces. I paid a couple shops to mess with my trailer until I figured it out myself.

    could be. I will change it. helpful suggestion ! my trailer is a newer model and most likely entire ABS valve assembly must be changed because as far as I know the relay valve is in assembly.

    I would change to a 4s 2m or make the first axle a liftaxle.

    I have a 2020 Wabash trailer with the same issue. I've changed the service valve and am still having the same issues. Does anyone have any ideas?

    I have a 2016 wabash trailer doing the same thing..could be height, valve or shocks, or even a tire thread too low..
