there are cameras that work in winter, pretty sure cameras that work in Canadian winters will work in a reefer. Even WiFi ones.

A ring type of camera system where it’s all local and you can click one and off would be best.

also make sure there’s ample signs that say video and voice recording 24/7 in the reefer. Just to cover your behind.

Ps to be even more on the safer side, have it included on your rate con as well if possible.

    Ridgeline,

Can you send me the photos of your trailer showing what you are talking about here?

I didn't have a chance yet to do it, and I had another hit to the wall!! I had to put temporary covers so water does not get inside the trailer.

Okay. So, if you own one trailer and someone damages to the point you can't use it, then you need to hire a lawyer for the downtime time you had for lost work?
What happens when you get a quote to repair the damage? And the receiver admits their fault, but then says your quote from the shop is too high. And shouldn't cost that much. What they want to pay is only for the patch up work done on the damage, not to restore it. And after you send a quote how much time you give them to respond with their payment?

    Guys,

Here I am again! The receiver who didn't admit fault last time, admits to another hit that happened recently. I got a quote. It costs even more than the first damage I had. They will cover it but said the quote came too high. They had things happen to other trailers in the past but never did receive a quote close to mine they said.
How long did you wait for the shop's quote to be paid. What's reasonable timeframe to wait?
And they call it an isolated spot. If you do a patch up, then yes. But if you want to fix it the way it should, then a lot more is needed.
I don't even have time to install cameras and scuffs since these things keep happening.
Need a break from all of this.

Time to move away from shipper if they will not fix correctly. No reason to keep losing money with people who will do nothing. If they admitted fault already then not much else to do other than fix it and tell them to pay. If they do not pay than time to sue. Most likely will be small claims court unless it was a large amount of money.

About a year ago or more, they cut a hole in my otherwise intact trailer roof. That crooked receiving clerk said, that it was not them, that it must have been the receiver.
I was getting hyper tensioned at that point so I bumed one cigarette, I actually offered $5 for it but they guy dismissed it with a wave of a hand, and after burning it, I just left the f...ing place. I went to a trailer repair shop and for $150 they patched it up with rivets and gave me a brand new crank - which I coincidently needed - for $8 which was a consolation price...I had another load lined up later.
Some of these abuses they get away with impunity...which sucks. But what you're gonna do? It is enough that I photograph "the seal intact" upon departures and arrivals. Am I supposed to carry a ladder and photograph the roof too?

    Siinman and boneebone Thank this.
