trailer floor out of service

    When the forklift goes through the floor, or when your sheet metal starts to buckle, it is time to scrap the trailer.

    A lot of LTL trailers, especially at smaller carriers that buy used stuff, have diamond plate patches.

    It may be cost effective, if the patches are back near the doors, to have that section replaced.

    Older trailers with roll-up doors often suffer cracks in the door frame and sill and if that area needs repairs, the back few feet of the floor usually does need some attention too.
