Depending on the model of the lift axle, it should be at least 5 inches to almost 10 inches of lift from the ground.

    Siinman Thanks this.

I found a pic of my trailer with the axle up.
Can’t really tell how many inches it’s off the ground though. I’ll measure it tomorrow

Long FLD and Siinman Thank this.

mine is a 2017 Wilson 53’flat front lift. I used to run a Phoenix/Portland loop with this trailer but I’m local now with it. It would be a big hole to cause the lifted axle to hit the ground on the interstate. I only have the lifted tires touch in a turn where the crown of the road is larger than normal like sloped back country roads. Or driveways.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Im very impressed with the trailers that your company buys. Very very few people spec vans like that.

JoeyJunk, Long FLD and Siinman Thank this.

Looks like about 4-6 inches to me from how the pic looks.

    JoeyJunk Thanks this.

But, an aluminum flatbed is arched and their deck height is much higher than a van, so the axles is going to be pushed higher up. Also, I’ve never seen a van trailer riding on as tall of airbags as the East flatbed I used to pull. That comparison isn’t equal.

    JoeyJunk and Siinman Thank this.

Thank you for update on that. So 2" would be a really bad idea in my eyes.
