    I do alot of power only local work and looking to rent a trailer. How much more a month roughly you think it would be to get trailer insurance coverage? Right now I'm at $815 monthly for truck insurance.

    Thanks....I'll also call my insurance company tomorrow

    For a van I pay right at $1000 per year. You are probably looking at $1500 to $1800 per year. Nice vans rent for 400/mo plus .05 per mile.

    Reefers are significantly more. Easily $1600/mo plus .05/mi plus reefer run time charges.

    Places in Laredo rent for 500 to 400 month no miles fee. Salt lake had rentals for 600 for almost new trailers. I rented from a private party for 500 a month no miles fee.

    If you spitball are 5% annually, you should be good, but it’s entirely based on you and your insurance. What % is your tractor at now? It will be similar.

    Rental company will tell you. Whatever the value of the trailer is. Likely around 55 to 75k as they get pretty good deals on trailers.

    Or, 25 to 30k for vans.
