I would like to hear suggestions on trailers. My son has looked at several so far and I would like to hear from you guys what your thoughts are on this. We're looking for a used trailer to get us through the first few years of being O/O. Mostly for hauling grain in our area. What are the best to use, prices we should look for and is there a decent place online to look or is it better to keep asking around locally. Nothing fancy, just something to get us by for now. Thanks:)

Thanks and will do. I've been looking around on the web, but haven't tried typing in grain trailers. I see we're neighbors:)

We had a 41 foot Wilson hopper that we used on the grain farm. All aluminum construction, spring ride, about 7-8 years old when we got it. Did a good job for us. In 5 years of daily commercial use, we rebuilt the (original) track and gears that opened the hoppers, and replaced the tarp when it finally started to wear out where it contacted the bows. About every other year we had to replace the bungee cord that helps to roll the tarp at the front.

It'll be tough finding good grain hoppers in the Texas panhandle for the next few months. several ethanol plants will be coming online, lots of grain in, lots of ethanol out.

I'm sure thinking this could be our problem looking around locally. We have a couple to look at this weekend up in Dalhart, just not sure what shape they're in etc.

I'm looking up the site ya'll gave me and on ebay. Never thought of ebay lol.

    Thanks everyone!
