One thing CRST takes VERY serious is the safety of their students. They may not always get immediate results, because lets be honest, #### takes awhile in trucking. However, I know that when i went through orientation 4 months ago, we were given the student coordinators direct number. One that she personally answered. So either the OP is only given a part of the story, or is making it up. Twice I needed to contact her regarding something training related and twice i got through, directly to her.
FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
I never lie. The DM'S have way to many trucks to handle at one time, so a mix up on how things get done in CA. is not out of the question. Good training and bad can happen at the same place. Glad yours went well. All the best to you, thanks.

The whole point of my post was how the DM has not very much at all to do with you being on one trainers truck or the other. They have someone specifically for student/trainer relations. What terminal did you do orientation ?

Fontana, CA. Was left in the yard over night with no place to sleep right after orientation.Trainer did not show till 4:00pm the next day.

CRST does not give a #### about their employees. Period. Please refer to Smith V CRST Van Ex. A great way to show your appreciation; Strand your new hires out in the middle of nowhere and pay them less than a tijuana chicklet saleschild. Minimum Wage? said the CRST payroll exec, what in the heck does that mean? And if they're so concerned with safety why have their third party testers allegedly been CDL stamping students who ran over cones, stalled out on hills and docked into ditches during their testing? In the world I grew up in you actually had to kinda know how to drive the truck BEFORE they gave you a license. But none of that matters when your turnover rate exceeds 200 percent, and Nothing says you care like sticking completely incompetent new hires behind the wheel of your (fully insured) rigs and throwing them out on the interstate with everyone else...Nice attempt at PR though. I bet you work for safety...FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
Also, trainers aren't supposed to carry Hazmat loads with their students who've been CDL licensed for less than 90 days. Hazmat requires TSA security clearance, which takes 30-90 days to complete. The temporary license issued by the DMV clearly states that it is not a certification to carry hazardous materials. CRST issues plastic ID cards with the words HAZMAT CERTIFICATE plastered at the top, but upon further discovery you'll find that they only do this "in preperation" of your actual clearance. I had a top notch trainer who knew this and denied the one and only HM load we were offered. But if your trainer decides to pull one, you'll be co driving at your own risk. Remember, your trainer only has to pay the fines you acquire while under their direction. Any penalties against a CDL are levied against you, regardless of whether or not you're a "trainee"

Rule 1: Mega Fleets could careless about safe training
Rule 2: Mega Fleets do not have trainers, only students training students
Rule 3: electronic logs fix everything
Rule 4: A warm body is better then nobody in the seat in there eyes
anything else?
