Hey guys,
So I'm a total noob here, leaving the IT field for trucking. I was trying to decide between Roehl, Prime, and Schneider. I think I'm gonna go with Schneider, but I have some questions about them and Trainco. Signing up with schneider would be a lot different than the other 2 companies. As far as I can tell, with Roehl and Prime you go to one of their Terminals and this is where you train, then the final phase is doing OTR with a trainer. Well, with Schneider they're telling me I will go to Trainco which is 45 minutes from me for 4 weeks, then orientation in Phoenix at the Schneider terminal for 3 weeks. What I want to know is what will Trainco school consist of? I can't find any info on this school online. From the sound of it, I wouldn't be doing OTR with a trainer, it would all be local and yard driving. All I want to know is what each week will look like in their program. And I would also like to know what Schneider orientation will consist of as well each week.
If anyone can provide some insight on these 2 things I really appreciate it.

What the heck is Trainco? Not something you pay for is it?

If qualified, Schneider will pay for the training – and they require a ONE-Year commitment at Schneider National.

Thanks for this - learn something new every day. Hard for me to imagine anyone paying for training with all of the free programs around....Schneider has/had a training facility in Charlotte, NC....

Schneider is ok if you go tanker division (Schneider Bulk).
You can make more money with other companies, unless you go with Schneider Bulk
