I won't say what company I'm with. My trainer has a few habits which make it disgusting to be wtih him: pees in a tide bottle and misses a lot and doesnt care- when he gets it on me he laughs and says sorry. picks his nose and wipes it anywhere in the cab. constantly farting with no shame what I think, and he eats nothing but junk food and the smell is unbearable. defacates into whatever is handy and puts it on the floor and leaves it there until he feels like throwing it out. a few times he threw it right out the window. as a trainer he doesnt offer me much in the ways of help or suggestions. he just does his own thing most the time. really I dont mind that, but it's the habits which are driving me crazy. I have a big bottle of hand sanitizer I use all the time. he seems to not even realize he's doing anything wrong, which I cannot understand this mentality. I ask him to stop doing it and he says "It's my truck I'll do as I please". my question is, should i complain to the company? should I keep trying to get thsi guy to change hsi ways? or just bear with it for now.
trainer has disgusting habits, I can't hardly bear it

OMG.... Time to tell the company about this pig, and get another trainer.
-
-
sounds like a trainer from werner that someone has posted on here about a while back
-
If they dont get you a new one, then 'bail'...I did on my first one!!
2 types of trainers: 1) Those that actually want to train ppl, and 2) those that JUST want the $$$ -
I with everyone on here! It is time to report him and ask for a new trainer. No one should be subjected to the lack of tact this gentlemen, who in fact is representing the company you are working for.
If this behavior is acceptable to the company, it's time to look for a new company to work for

You need to tell some one at the co. and get out of his truck if he is as bad as you say then he is not going to teach you what you need to know . If the company won't do any thing then start looking for a new one

Oh It sounds like my trainer, but I got even with his butt, the piss bottle stunk up the cab, asked him to dump it but was told same thing he (trainer) I took his bottle and while his butt was asleep poured his Piss on him!!....He decided to throw my butt out of the cab for that stunt but he forgot I had Cell phone in hand Called Company about this PIG and they dispatched another Company Driver to pick me up. But when New driver arrived He had someone from the Company pick up his Rig and I guessed that his ### Was FIRED cause they asked him to removed all his stuff out of cab, and told him to Walk....
Don't Be affaird to let Company Know what is Going on, all they know is what is Not being told about a Trainer and his teaching Skills!!

It really bothers me to see items like this. I've said before that I believe there should be another endorsement on the CDL and laws that a trainer be knowledgeable enough to train. I know nobody wants to see more laws or rules but look at it this way. Trainers are shaping the new drivers. Shouldn't they have the best training a company can provide? I know some of these big companies will put anyone in the trainers seat but in time they will learn or go under. I retired from a large company ( ARCO) and they learned along time ago to cover their ### when they get sued by anyone looking for deep pockets. Our trainers were the most experienced drivers. And in my line of work you don't get that kind of experience (15 to 30 years) unless you do the job the right way. No one is forced to do the job, but it does come with benefits.

Earl, you must talk to your company and get yourself a new trainer, you just might have to be a bit tactful, esp if this trainer is looked upon favorably by your company. But in the meantime, keep your chin up and be safe. Good luck.
