OK, I don't know them.
I've seen their trucks around.
If you were interviewing with McWaters or Pettera I could comment on both of them. -
Drive 6:
Went down and got fuel, then jumped on I-80 out to the Burns/Carpenter exit, then headed South to Hereford Colorado. Then CR 203 west, and on over to Campstool Rd and Wyoming Hereford Ranch and took a break at Sapp Bros again. Then back to the school-house. Those little county roads are kind of crappy and can be narrow at times. But overall it was a fun drive. -
Crampstool road has been in need of a rebuild since 95 when I moved out here. Unknown how long before that.
I was hoping with all the oilfield traffic they'd finally get it handled. So far nada.
You drove thru a lot of my side of the county.
I used to be on the Carpenter fire department. All volunteer. Was going to get kicked off when I started driving truck. I resigned quick like so as to deny the political machine its power trip. -
Drive 7: taking a break from doing off-sets. Nice morning and not too hot.
-
Drive 8: another four hours of 90s and off-sets. Me and another student did some round robins; he was on one side of the yard doing either 90s or off-sets and I was doing the same on the other side. He would get done then we would switch sides.
Tomorrow is drive 9 which is up to the Laramie summit and then back down Happy Jack. Not sure if there is any other driving location for that one. Probably more in town driving if we have time. -
I've been OTR for the past two weeks now and love it! I can't tell you how many times I've had to do near 90's into a parking spot at the truck stops. Im getting rather good at them. Lol. About riding the clutch when backing. I drive a 2011 Kenworth T700 and in about 50% of my experiences backing, I had to ride the clutch because this beast is geared a little odd and even in low reverse it moves quickly. When doing a 90 into a parking space between two other trucks it's hard to stay off the clutch. Lol One thing I do know is that it's very different driving a new truck than the old ones at Sage. I have an eight speed and the shifting is way different. I'm glad to hear everything is going well for you Hanzerik. I'm currently sitting at a Pilot in Charleston, WV on my ten hour reset.

Drive 9:
Headed west out of Cheyenne on I-80 on up to the summit. Then took Happy Jack back into Cheyenne. Then made our way across town, then over to Sapp Bros. I was thinking the truck wasn't going to make it up to the summit LOL. Seemed real sluggish today compared to how it drove on Drive 6. But we made it up to the summit and took a short break, and another of our trucks pulled in a few minutes later. I let them take the lead and we all drove back at a nice "leisurely" pace.
They turned off onto I-25S, while we went cross town on 19th, but we both ended up over at Sapp Bros. Not sure where they went after that, but I wanted to work on my shifting so we stayed out there and did a few laps around that area near the Pilot station. Then back to the yard.
Thought I would try out an App for my phone; Turned on GPS and "My Tracks" and set the phone down to do it's thing...recorded the drive up and back. Google Map of Drive 9 -
Thanks
