    nearly all the complications you just mentioned apply to nearly every shipper and receiver we deal with, not just the ports. Macsteel for example, it takes them anywhere from 10 to 24 hours plus just to pull their heads from their #####, let alone get you loaded.

    I just waited 14 hours this week at Logan Aluminum....far far from the ports.

    If you waited that long at logan I bet it was for ball in TX. Them loads are never ready. I waited 18 hours for one. The ones to lone star TX and denver Co are always ready pretty quick. Ball might as well get a restart....:biggrin_2554:

    Logan is usually a 10+ hour wait for me, always twins going to Bradley.

    Do you have to go out with a trainer even if you are an experienced driver with flatbed experience ?

    On the occasion that a driver has to stay out over the weekend,
    is the driver compensated in any way ?
    Do you get an extra day home the following weekend ?

    You will only get compensation if they do not have a load for you....trust me they will find a load for you...lol:biggrin_25512:
