I'm excited to start training on 11/22. No, that's not a typo, due to the holiday it starts on a Sunday.
I'm looking forward to meeting my fellow students and instructors as well as those that have come before me. Thanks to all who have chronicled their experience here on the forum, I have a good idea what to expect.
And I'm curious to know what kind of trucks are sitting in the yard? No telling why will be available by the time we get our hands on one. Assuming I'll be getting a LW I'm hoping for a Prostar. Or who knows what may be available by then?
Good luck, and look forward to meeting ya'll in Springtown.

When you get to the Millennium terminal, my bet is there are more trucks in one location than you have ever seen in your life.
The Millennium itself is the "Taj Mahal" of truck terminals. Truly impressive.
Best of luck out to ya!
PChase, Chucktshoes, redoctober83 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Best of luck to you. Send us some updates when you can.
TooSlow4Words Thanks this. -
Will do. I'm thinking due to the holiday this might be a smaller than typical orientation group. Who knows, could be a big rush to make career changes before the end of the year. Dunno.
With any luck, I'll get a trainer that's fresh off some holiday home time and ready to do some driving. I'm anxious to hit the road, albeit a bit nervous about trying to sleep in a rolling reefer. To my advantage I'm accustomed to sleeping with ear plugs, now if I can get used to motion all will be fine. -
Good luck and welcome aboard! I just hope you don't try sleeping in the trailers. That could be a bad thing. I know when it comes summer and it's 100+ outside you'll want to crawl into one of the reefers just to cool down, but try sleeping in it

So an air mattress in the reefer is out eh?FullMetalJacket Thanks this.

Trust me, there were many times where I was very tempted to. Plus if you learn how to override the door sensor so the reefer stays running when the doors are open, you'll have a very nice place to sit and wait that is cool at the customer

Well, it ain't idling...

All of prime's trucks have apu's so you don't have to idle.
