Thanks for the thoughtful tips
I’m asking cause I just did a clutch job and everything is fine then it just started when I’m down shifting and I m coming from a high range gear and I hit the selector so I can get into my lower range of gears just as I make that crossover it would grind . Its a haunting sound and if you’re a truck driver who’s been driving from 1977 you know that not normal
I’m. 64 yrs old I own my own Truck and I drove single stick truck, double stick trucks. & even a truck with a 3 rd stick ,and I even drove a truck with a mordern day 10 speed road danger with a 4 speed auxiliary box ( brownie box)
I’m from Honolulu Hawaii
I thought my problem. Was something to do with it not getting enough air , or Liza oil or maybe it’s seen it’s day but seeing it’s day I’m not buying that guess cause these trans they die hard unless you’re really don’t know how to shift
And when I did the clutch I did remove the air lines so maybe I needed to go back and double check it. or I did drain all the oil in the trans and I check. It old school style By putting my pinky finger in So that another one I feel I was lacking in
Sorry for the novel I just wrote but hey thanks
Tranny grinds when shifting from low to high gears??
