Look thru the bad and good companies section. TA is in both. To many of the L/O's I know are going broke with them or giving up on them. A guy named Thumper said he was making good money and even showed his pay on it. I'm a company driver with them and wouldn't do a lease myself. Take that for what its worth,

If you are going to do a lease, get a yr in with a company and go with John Christner. That company has a very good lease program. Member LMB is currently doing a lease with his wife.

Wait no lease purchases look great and all. You get your own truck at the end the truck might no even end up even being yours. Get some company driver experience wait some time buy, your own truck lease to a company lease purchases are just a waste of time.

Just say no to FLEECE purchase. You are the sheep, and they are the ones carrying the shears.
You will get fleeced! I lost $30,000 on a fleece purchase.

As a company driver with Transam, do you have to do all 48 states or do you have any choice in the matter as to where you go? I've had bad experiences with low bridges and parking on the east coast so I'm trying to avoid the Appalachians (PA, WV, etc.). I'm thinking about leasing with Transam, too, for lots of complicated reasons I don't want to get into ... but I'm just curious about where you're forced to drive.

I agree with what you say about good and bad stuff on Transam in various posts! Me, I'm thinking about leasing because I'd rather make less money and be more responsible and not get jerked around as much. I drove for Swift for six months, and like I was telling people here in my own post about leasing, I'd rather work at McDonald's than be a company driver for anyone. I'm sick of being somewhere like eastern Pennsylvania resting comfortably, ten minutes after the last parking spot is filled, and have some idiot tell me I have to go get a live load. Also the idle thing: I'm sick of being told I can't idle my truck when it's 100˚ out. Anyway I'm rambling blah blah blah
