I’ve heard that going company with Trans Am usually involves being sent home after training to wait for a truck. I know that many on this board have had experience with Trans Am, and I’m wondering how long your wait time was.

I’ll still be collecting more than adequate weekly pay from a previously finished contract for about six weeks even after training, so there’s really no financial pressure to be applied whatsoever during that time period (i.e. they can forget about a lease), but I wonder if anyone’s ever had to wait longer than that for a company truck.

Also, I know, I know, don’t go with Trans Am. What can I say, though? I enjoy KWs, would prefer reefer, like their rules about never touching the cargo (seems like a liability in today’s society), and my friends have actually had really good experiences with them. Are there any other companies that might be to my liking?
