My husband shipped out after new years to Transam. I talk to him everyday but as of today I don't know when he will be home. The kids and I have been prepared for this since day one. It was hard for him at first and the fact that he was paired with a jack butt for a coach this guy was a lease driver who was a racist and had little reguards for human life and did not mind telling you he hated god and lifeso that did not help much either. My husband likes the company very much but his biggest complaint is them forcing new hires into the lease program.
I thank the honest truckers out there for giving the heads up to the game.
Because sure enough as soon as these guys got off the road a line about leasing was shoved in there faces and alot of guys were told lease or hit the bricks get home the best way you can.I spoke to this one guy who was in school and training with my hubby he said this is what they did to him he said he was lucky because he had money to rent a car to get home also he said they called him telling him to come back they would try to help him he tell them go to H e double hockey sticks. My husband along with some others stuck to there guns and some are on the road as we speak. My husband is worried because he really wants to be on the road he is not new to trucking Class B state to state driving most of his life but Driving a real rig has been his dream before the market has been over run with people who have been forced into this market how sad. But if he does not get his truck he will stick it out for 2 or 3 months so when he does come home he can get a job some companies still only need 6 mo over the road. I will keep all posted.

yes, He got his truck last week . His only complaint was how the last person trashed out the inside of the truck but it was not that big of a problem my husband is borderline OCD. Other than that he happy. He will be home to visit next week so now I'm happy too.

It was 60 days exactly before I got home the first time after joining TA. Had to spend an extra week with my trainer due to the truck breaking down, then of course waiting on a truck. Didn't push the lease on me that hard except for all the trucks sitting out there waiting to be leased. Have only had 2 calls from the FM about that also tho their supposed to call at least once a month for that. Wonder if its an indication of how bad things are with TA?
