There are other places to go. Limiting your ability to earn - even in this economy just isn't right.

They have been running me pretty hard, especially as a new guy I think. I'll have around 2900 miles my first week out. Ran from Kansas to South Virginia and from there to Wyoming. Already have a preplan to go to Oklahoma, though it's drop dead time is right after my "can not be early!!!" delivery time. Which sucks. I'll get there tomorow night, 7/29 and then wait for 7/31 to deliver, then teleport, aparently, to Nebraska to grab a load to Oklahoma. So far I'm liking the company, only complaint was the sitting at the yard for 3 days while thy made my truck try to run. All the bugs are worked out except the motor has a rattle to it when it's working or the jakes are working hard and the wiring on the blower for my cab air gets shaken loose and turns off, hope to get it looked at since I can say I have no defrost, it's a DoT emergency repair hehe.
Oh well I'm off to bed. Drive safe everyone.

arthritis will get you in a jam with DOT..i cant quote chapter and verse but they have a statement in there about acute pain..get new knees brother..take a few weeks or a couple of months and replace those buggers..i only have one bad one and its going away from here Oct.4th..happy trails -
-+, glad to see their running you and keeping you preplanned. Don't know what happened to all of mine. Did get my appt time moved up 5 hrs tho, so will be sitting only a couple of extra hrs now.
So where in OK are you going to? -
So is it that they just don't run their L/O with enough miles,or is the payment way to high. Whats wrong with their L/O program ?
-
Well, as with all L/O programs, the company makes out like a bandit. Biggest problem tho that I see with this company is that they talk all these new guys into it, who have no experience what so ever in trucking or in running a business, so are set up for failure from the very beginning. They don't know the lanes, don't know what areas are dead or not, don't realize how DH'ing can affect the bottom line, haven't figured out whether a load has to much time or not, etc. There are people making money at it but they are few and far between and DO have experience.

Take care and drive safe everyone!

Wow, may just have to stop and meet you -+. Am at the wally world unloading now.
Last time I was at that TA and had to purchase airtime, speed was fast enough to watch a TV show. Look on your ticket and there should be a number to call and have them check it out.
Miles have picked back up since I left Waco. Have a preplan to go to Schuyler for an Ohio load. From the looks of it, I may have to turn it down. Not sure how much of a window is on it but dang sure aint going to make it there by 1800....today!!!! -
Pulled into the TA and saw your trk. Didn't see you so figgered you were sleeping. Sooooo, my ? for you is, do we need to start calling you "Da King"? Saw your BK crown on the dash.
-
Hehehe oh wow. Well I figured I was in the "Road King Club" I needed a crown lol. I'm heading off here at 6am, where are you parked at. Yea depending on when you got here I was either sleeping or watching tv in the sleeper. Well looking at how many people have parked in spots that aren't parking spaces I'm going to have to bang on some doors to get trucks outa my way so I can even get out of my parking spot. Oh well. Come on over if you're up, I've been talking to you for months, would be nice to meet you.
