Not according to my family ....I'm the one that walked away and chose a much simpler ...and more honest life.... they think it was a waste. But I have a husband that works long hard hours to provide for a family that means everything to him. I have it all in my opinion!

oliver2 and Panhandle flash Thank this.

I have done a lot of different things in my life
making money was never the be all end all
satisfaction and the challenge does it for me
like when we put the boat on a freighter in 1989
and went to South Africa for a year
or in 2001 running a scallop boat in Uraquay
but the Transam challenge might just beat me :biggrin_25521:

Hey there. Yes I made it out of NY. I went to Pennsylvania and loaded at Furmanos in Northumberland,PA, and made it out of there as well. The Co-Pilot GPS almost made me get into a mess, but thankfully there was a place to pull over and call the shipper to get the correct directions. Pennsylvania is really messed up sometimes. It is a very nice state, but a lot of places aren't made for big trucks. LOL

Husband loves his, also. Although he thought it would have the lady with the sultry Australian accent ....instead she sounds like Rosie the maid on the old Jetsons cartoon! LOL

Truly, Pete is sooo right, the Rand McNally has cut the stress level in half ....it is a great investment.
