Wow I was surprised to find out today that the T-680 has no in cab 5th wheel release. I did a swap today with a driver that had a 680 and he was pulling manually on the 5th wheel handle. I asked him if his in cab release wasn't working, and he said it doesn't have one. WTH??? Brand new Kenworth T-680 without in cab 5th wheel release. That is kinda disappointing.

You say it, HTQ! Lol. I thought your questions were quite relevant t address what this driver wants n a company so that some of us could answer whether we felt TransAm fit the bill or not. Especially since prospective drivers come in here every few pages and ask that exact question and its been answered multiple times.

Pete, crusty or not, we still love you.

Im back on the road. Picked up at Masonite in MS and headed to NE with it. Im lookng forward to bdtime. I havent had a good nights sleep in days. Clean clothes, clean sheets... Im ready. :)

No, not too much drama. I simply asked if Trans Am was a good co. to work for. Didn't ask for a bunch of philosophical BS. It's OK to be smart, but know one likes a smart ###. If someone ask's a simply question it just makes good since to give them a simply answer unless asked to expound.

It's just too easy.....I can't do it :laughing-guffaw:....it would be cruel. Now that's being smart ###.

Or someone could go back and actually read previous posts and not have to even ask the question.

LOL Kirk, you just swapped with a guy who is clueless about his equipment. Let me assure you that the T680 DOES have an in-cab fifth wheel release. Ive only had to pull the fifth wherl manually once, when I was dropping my trailer at KW to have an electrical issue addressed that also affected my in-cab switch. Dont let the newbie pull a fast one on ya.

I could have done that, and did to a degree. But do you realize how many post's are on here. Besides that, I'm only interested in current information from drivers who have been with the co. for a while. Also, I didn't request info from any particular driver, I simply through the question out their. There was no need for anyone to reply at all, especially if they had nothing to offer.
