They are nice trks. May not give a crap about the people but do maintain their equipment. Notice I said people, office personel not treated much better from what I understand.

Hmmmmmm, so now TA has closed down their shop in Olathe on the weekends. Makes one wonder. Are they going broke?

Thank you Panhandle for making up my mind, I'm going with Roehl. After all I've read and the urgency shown by the recruiter, I'm afraid that you may be right and I can't afford to take the chance. Good luck to you and all the Transam drivers and staff, I hope it's not the case.

wow... I ran with Trans Am for more than 7 weeks and never saw anything over 2400 miles. this company is "nothing" like they promote. I 590.00 lease ran right at 1100.00 a week with all the extra crap they dont tell you about.....may be a good company for comp-drivers....take it from a guy that just walked.....this company will put the screws to you in a skinny minute.....run run run run!!!!!!!

Nah I was a company driver and still got crap pay, I averaged $200 a week give or take, mostly take. I ran everything they gave me with no late loads or any other problems. Just too many sitting 2 or 3 days at a meat plant, man I LOVE Marshalltown, and (not exaggerating at all) sitting in Nebraska at a Flying J for over 30 hours so I can get a driver to bring me his loaded trailer to swap and take it 3 hours west to Home Depot in Wyoming. NO short run pay, NO breakdown pay, NO detention pay, might as well be no layover pay (good luck fighting for it) NO home time if you want to make anything (I used to take 2 days off a month) and absolutely ZERO respect from the company. You know I've got to be honest thought, for the first month or two I did good, but all of a sudden I had 6 crap months and had to call it quits. I went to Schneider and it's just a night and day difference in how I am treated, at least so far. But hey, to each their own and hopefully anyone who decides to work for them will have a great time and make lots of money. They might be a wonderful company for some, I just had a real bad experience with them.
