I glad I finally found this thread. I leave Monday for Olathe Kansas to start orientation with Trans Am on Weds. I just got my CDL last month. I'm 55 years old. Single. I have 2 Sons that are both deployed to Afghanistan and an 19 year old. I'm am nervous as can be about this new chapter in my life. I know I can do the job it's just all of the unknowns that I keeping thinking about. Oh well, off on adventure as my oldest Son told me.

Any new positive updates on this company?

Well as a company driver, I'm doing allright with them. Would NOT recommend going L/O with them. Most of the L/O's that I talk to are either barely surviving or are quitting them in droves.
I now have a ####### DM and he does a pretty good job of keeping my wheels rolling. I've gone from averaging 2200 to 2300 a week to around 3000. Last time out it up around 3500 and actually had to do 2 resets. Don't know if all company drivers have it this good tho.cool breeze Thanks this. -
Im thinking of going there can u if u want a t600 but not the t660 ive heard they r for lease the t660s .Theres not alot on here bad about them that i can find, how's your home time i would expect out 2 wks then home 2 days?? let me know n thanks for your time -
Used to drive for them. I'm curious, I heard they turned the company trucks down to 62mph? When I was there we were at 70. Also didn't they start running out to CA? I thought they did... maybe they decided it wasn't worth it.

Most of the trucks are T660's now. The 600 will be phased out starting next year.
They still run to California. Meat loads in what ever they can get coming out. Been there twice but it was pretty much the same trip. Was coming out with mixed produce and was somewhere in New Mexico, I think, doing a 10. Got a knock on my door and it was anothe TA driver wanting to know if I had got the swap msg yet. Swapped trlrs and went right back. Came out that tiem with a load of tvs going to wally world in Colorada north of Denver.
Yes the company trucks have been turned down to 62. Think the L/Os can still do 70 if they wish. Leastwise, they still blow by me as I poke along. -

Looking into TransAm. Do they still run the automatic? I just read they were ordering somewhere around 1000 new trucks. Any updated information would be great. Thanks in advance for your help.
