Im loving my new truck. It is really a nice truck, but it is better in some ways, and worse in others compared to the T-700. I don't like the arm rests they are to short. Im averaging only 7mpg loaded or empty. Lots more room in the drivers seat, but not as much storage I don't think. Its nice to have a truck that has never been leased before with no miles on it. This way I can take care of it the way I want to, and know what has been done to it, and not have to wonder how another driver treated it. Power windows on both doors. New truck smell. You cant beat that!! Love the gear shifter. Its lots better than the old push button box. The big mirrors on the hood are very nice. I can see more with them. Its top speed is 64 mph. I wonder if that can be increased a little?? I can say I like the T-680 better than the T-700.

I'm still in the reefer biz with this company, difference is... I don't have to mess with the likes of Tyson or (mind went blank, the other major company). Used to not have to mess with JBS either, but they bought out one of the companies we haul for.

Omaha, and the general area, has 6 or 7 meat places and about as many cold storages. One of us will take an mty tlr to one of these places, pick up a loaded one, and bring it back to the yard. Only time we sit at meat places, is a return load coming home.

DO NOT MISS ALL THAT SITTING AROUND IN STINKY MEAT PLACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :biggrin_25520:

They changed my run at the last minute. Instead of waiting for the Cheyenne load t come to the yard while I got my APU PM done, they put me on a hot load to Denver. Preplanned out of Fort Morgan to Bedford, PA. Does anyone now if 34 between 25 and Greeley is still closed?

Looks like it is open in that stretch. US34 appears to be closed west of Loveland... which would be in the foothills.
