well im a disable Iraq war VET (really bad left knee) and Trasn AM is the only company that can get me in to an auto shift. I know i have read all the nasty things about the company. but its truly the only company i can really go with. till more companys add more autos to there fleets.
i know its the best company to work for but ill take what i can get at this point been out of work for just about a year now...mgt1085 Thanks this. -
Well, I drove the truck on day 1 for my road test, basically making sure that you know the basics of driving. And the auto shift is different and will take some getting use to, but the trucks looking really good. Guess that's thanks to all the lease guys paying for them. I'll let ya know how the training goes. I could be on the road as early as tomorrow afternoon.

USA Trucking and PAM are all auto shifts and I know Schneider has them as well in case they are needed. Don't feel like TransAm is the only place with autos, it's just one of the crappiest... I'm worried about TransAm drivers anyhow, losing major accounts (Kraft and others) and now they are apparently doing away with CommData cards because they are "too expensive to keep" is worrying. When 2/3 of the fleet is a sublease and paying their own CommData fees how is it too much?

And Trans Am might only let you be a L/O since you're an experienced driver. I wouldn't definitely call around.

thanks all ive asked them about that L/O stuff i told them they can keep that. im not looking to own a truck. times are to hard right know to have a truck payment and no loads to pay for it....
just talk to PAM trans and read alot about them as well and it looks like im bending over no matter what way i trun... Most of my time in the seat is driven for uncle sammy. and companys dont thing us solider boys can drive. now im not saying i can out drive anyone but i can still drive a truck. -
I think PAM is a little bit better company and you don't have to worry about them trying to get you into a lease since they don't have a program. I just finished my last day of orientation and I go out with my trainer tomorrow. I'm ready to start driving. Hopefully, this will go well.

Just look at their website, and see what's on there. And I know there are threads on this site about them.
