Oh forget this. I left and ran up to Pilot to grab a bite to eat and noticed that when I hit the brakes or turned, water poured out of the bulkhead. And right after that I realized I could barely hear my cb despite maxing out the volume. Damaged speaker maybe? I was almost willing to just pick this load up and have them fix it in Olathe tomorrow when I realized my truck only goes 62. Uh.... NO. I turned right back around at the next exit. My plan for today really depended on making up lost time on the back roads and the slower truck shorts me 30 miles and also irritates me greatly.

If I leave transam will they try and take my last couple of checks for orientation and rooming? I paid for my travel I'm not worried about that and will they try and charge me for the trailor damnage?

Stopped at Walmart in Stockbridge for the night... Everyone be safe

All your questions should be answered in the hand book. If they gave you one. If not expect to not get anything back and if you do it is found money so to speak.

In Dodge City waiting for cows to die. I think they have me planned out to go home after this load but if not the next load is going to North Carolina anyway. Need to recharge my batteries it has been a while since I have been home and have lots to do.
If you leave before a year is up just make sure the next company is one you want to stay with, most companies know of this and a few other companies reputation.
The wind is really bad here my truck is rocking but that puts me to sleep. I am not looking forward to the drive out of here.
Be safe out thereHometimeQueen Thanks this. -
I believe if you leave before 90 days they will charge you for your room and travel expenses
-
How are you doing Wayne? I know that you are doing some thinking and planning ahead. -
According to the handbook it's 90 days or you owe hotel and travel expenses including cab fare... Oh and they will even charge for the 3 days of lunch they provided.... I would try to stick it out atleast till the 6 month mark if I were you
-
I just found it under Payroll and Benefits in your handbook -
If a driver resigns from TransAm prior to working 90 days, the driver may be responsible for repaying all costs that were incurred during driver orientation. This includes, but is not limited to, motel and travel expenses.
They may or may not enforce this. We had another driver quit before his 90 days was up and he never said anything about being charged for motel fees. -
Anyone know of the nearest pilot/flying j to Arcadia fl? Trying to plan my stop tomorrow night and I got showers there lol
