TransAm Trucking.....MUST READ!!!! inside story

Well even if you get into a company driver solo position, they still have plenty of leverage over you to try and get you to “come to your senses” and lease your life away. They just run you enough to keep you miserable and tell you “the lease drivers are doing great”. It’s a sad situation and there’s a sucker born every minute to keep it moving along. But you don’t see near as many Transam trucks today as you did 5 years ago. They keep it up, they won’t even be attractive as a potential hostile buyout or merger target.

I predict they will be the next “Arrow Trucking story”

 

Agreed I don’t see as many of their trucks as I used too and some of their trucks look like they couldn’t pass a DOT inspection.

 

On their CPM lease model structured as cheap as it is, no way you can pay yourself a fair salary AND a bank note or rental payment.

 

Yes, honestly I just don’t understand how company owners and executives can sleep at night or even look at themselves in the mirror when they know they are taking advantage of people! Pathetic!

 

That speaks well of you...you're obviously an honest person and wouldn't be able to do what they're doing.
I understand how they can do it...greed, pure and simple. They're running a scam and they're getting away with it. They don't care about people, they care about money. I don't see that changing any time soon.
As long as there are people uninformed enough, or gullible enough, or just plain dumb enough to fall for their con game they'll be in business.

Nope, that #### is 100% true! The Mega Carriers up here do the same thing. Myself and some buddies actually caught there guy doing it, since we all worked at the same company, over the span of a year.

Do people actually work for more than 1 mega carrier in their career? One was enough for me, I would never do another one. Just asking, cause it seems like people keep going to these big companies; even tho they have experience?.

 

I worked for them from 2000-2002 good company back then. Johnny Jacobsen owned them then. Was a good guy.

 

20yrs ago I would agree with you. But to many resources out there to blame company bosses for the decisions made by supposed adults now days.
Half of my house payment is interest on a loan, but I don't whine & blame the mortgage company. Why? Because adults should take responsibility for their decisions & no one forced me to sign the paperwork .

I’ve seriously considered going to the producers of 20/20 or one of those investigative news programs as an inside man. Hidden camera, mic’d for sound as an experienced driver who wants to do the lease. Maybe there will be 3 of us. We’ll expose the 3 biggest trucking companies who are involved in the lease scam. That should get good ratings and expose the unscrupulous business practice of fleece to own. Just a thought.
