FFE, is another one.... I don't understand how these guy's lie, and cheat so much.... Then, don't get in any trouble? -
Wow, was in Olathe yesterday and found out that they ARE now testing in Rockwall. Must have poured a lot of concrete to get a testing range up and running.
Well if you are going to be stuck for 30 days at least you have a library to go to, a fitness center if you use those and a place to buy beer close by. Course the motel your in sucks bad. -
What a joke! 12 weeks of coverage! I sit on the crapper longer than 12 weeks. This guy has cancer - do you think it was cured and went away in 12 weeks?

Just got word today...The orientation class that I was to attend on May 6 as a newbie has been canceled until further notice. Casey said they didn't want to put people through class and 160 hrs of training just to have them sitting on the bench without a truck. While I thought Trans Am was going to be a good place to start a new career I am probably better off hearing this today. No sense twiddling my thumbs waiting for their business to catch up. Next...

after reading this thread, do not be surprised to gat a call back telling you that you can start if you go on a lease program, lololol !!! seems that is what they are trying to get people to do. -
I just recieved word from transam trucking that they approved me for prehire and when I finished trucking school I would go full time and go to orientation. If they are canceling orientation classes why would they give me prehire?
I am being laid off May the 8th from a company I have been with for 20 yrs. I am looking forward to moving on and going to trucking school and would love to have a successful career driving a truck. After reading several threads it sounds like that maybe this is not the time for a new guy to try to get into trucking. Would love to hear more thoughts on transam as a company and would love to hear thoughts from veteran drivers on a new driver trying to get started in these tough times. -
tcole99, what they did (probrably)was approve you for hire because you meet minimum(?) requirements for hire, technichally you do not have a job till the end of orientation, they can not hire you till you pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug test comes back, get with recruiting and they will let you know what's going on, if it's a hireing freeze, it might be a couple of months before they get you in

Boone315, thanks for the information. I don't have a problem with waiting for a little while after orientation. I will still draw a severance check with my company through August. I am just hoping I will be driving by then.
